GREENVILLE, S.C. –  State Rep. Jason Elliott announced his re-election campaign for South Carolina House District 22 this morning.

“I am proud to announce my re-election campaign because District 22 needs a trusted community leader who works to protect our families, promote small business, and educate our children,” Elliott said.

“What I continually hear from our district’s residents is they want a State Representative who will show up every day and fight for them.  I believe strongly that I’ve done just that by voting against tax hikes, standing up for life, promoting workforce development, and making sure Greenville gets its fair share of tax revenue,” Elliott continued. “We are blessed to live in this community, and I’ll continue to work every day to serve every resident.”

Elliott is one of only two freshman House members to serve as a subcommittee chairman and one of only a few freshman legislators who has seen State House passage of bills he sponsored in the 2017-2018 legislative session.  Just last week, Elliott’s bill to allow Greenville Tech to award a four-year degree in Applied Manufacturing passed the House unanimously.  He is the primary sponsor of major school choice legislation and a co-sponsor of major pro-life legislation that would stop dismemberment abortion.

Elliott also joined a majority of other freshman legislators in calling for major state Constitutional reforms that would make South Carolina government more efficient and accountable and her citizens more educated and prosperous.
