Remember the days when aspiring musicians would make their way to Atlanta or Nashville with dreams of finding a recording label to sign with and become professional recording artists? Those days are almost over.
We have everything needed right here in the Upstate for a talented singer or musician to make their first professional recording and begin their career. We have record producers, recording studios, booking agents, venues, festivals, and I don't have to remind you of the wealth of musical talent that is right here in Upstate South Carolina.
It's something in our genes, or maybe it's the sweet tea. Musical talent runs deep in our history and our culture.
Every year, the March issue of Upstate Exposures Magazine will celebrate that wealth of musical talent with a mega issue. Continue reading to get to know who is making music, their history and struggles, and where you can go to support them.
This is THE MUSIC ISSUE.
