The People, Places, Events, History, Businesses, and Music of Upstate SC

A Note From The Editor | Inaugural Issue

The Upstate of South Carolina is known throughout the United States as a hospitable and picturesque location to visit. Many have moved to our area thanks to a reputation of beautiful weather, hospitable people, and a culinary scene that is quickly becoming a competitor throughout the major cities of the southeast.

Those of us who have lived here for some time already know that our area is rich in history and culture dating back to before the Revolutionary War. Some of the world’s best singers, musicians, and artists proudly call the Upstate home.

We are also a very generous people. We take helping our neighbor very seriously. When something goes wrong with one of ours, we give gladly, and we give generously.

The Upstate loves to party! We celebrate food, fun, and especially sports with an enthusiasm that other parts of the country can only emulate. And while others may find some of us peculiar, we celebrate our uniqueness.

Upstate Exposures Magazine seeks to bring all these unique and interesting characteristics to the front for all to see. We love the unsung heroes of our area. We love the die-hards. We love the local stories and the small town history museums. We love our food and we love our football.

Welcome to the first issue. We hope you enjoy it!
