Greenville alt-rockers Revelator have announced the release of their second music video from their 2017 album #Muricana. The video for “Fanfare” will go live on YouTube, Facebook, and the band’s website on Friday May 4th, 2018. “Fanfare” tells the story of a friend lost too soon, who brought his music and his inspiration to the children of SC. The song and video dance between a celebration of his life and a mourning of his death to pay homage to a man we lost too soon.
Revelator will also be appearing on Sunday May 27th, 2018 at The Radio Room in Greenville, SC with Dominic Angellela and Sparrow’s Point. The music starts at 8:00 pm.
Revelator started as an online collaborative project in 2011, and matured into a live indie rock band with the release of their 2017 album #Muricana. Heath Lane and Jon Rasmussen have been with the project from the start, acting as the creative force for the album. Patrick Foard and William Smith have joined the band to bring the sound to the stage and bring their own input into new music going forward. On the latest record and in their live performance, they blend a post-grunge indie rock sound with touches of the small town south, both lyrically and rhythmically, to create something fresh that conveys a sense of nostalgia at the same time.
