The Beauty That Lies Within

peace

One Saturday afternoon, a lady gave me a complimentary makeover. She prayed and then when I tell you she made me feel so beautiful.  It wasn’t the makeup, but it was the beauty within. I had never felt that way before. When I allowed her into my space, something inside that had been crying had been set free. For the first time, the beauty within began to be revealed.

Then the Lord took me back to something He told me this week. I’m not afraid to share it. He said your greatness is showing. Who God created you to be is showing. The light on the hill that can no longer be hid. You, my dear, are busting at the seams. God is changing your direction and your atmosphere. You came to the place of being sick and tired and gave in. What you have suffered for years will change in the blink of an eye.  The Beauty That Lies within you.

The Lord takes those who are most unlikely to succeed according to society’s standards and sees the beauty that lies within.

He takes the scars and blemishes and turns them into a testimony to reveal the beauty that lies within.

See underneath the scars lies a beautiful person. A person who has learned to deal with life and all that has been thrown at them.

The scars taught them how to grow past their pain and begin to blossom. This is the beauty that lies within. Allow God to invade your space so that the beauty within you can be revealed. Read Psalms 139:14.

The Scars

The scars are not a pretty sight

Underneath the scars have been some ugly fights

The scars are suppose to hide the pain

The scars are suppose to keep you from shame

The scars are a reminder of what you went through.

The scars help to focus on what you are going to.

The scars are a reflection of your past

At the same time scars let you know that trouble don’t last

The scars help you to grow past your pain

When seeing someone else scars,  it will help you to stay in your lane

A lot of times, we are ashamed of our scars. We have scars in the most noticeable places. Not all the time can they be hid. There is a history behind every scar. Every scar has a different meaning and story. The scars are there as a covering of the pain. No one knows the story behind your scar.

The scars are revealing the beauty that lies within you which possesses greatness.
